The main reason is to update the basic structure and allow me to more easily amend major sections with less time. Once this work has been completed I will return to uploading the other currently pending sections of Super Nintendo Roms or SNES Roms. Thanks for being patient. Posts: 56 14 February, 2008 20:28:51	Hi guys, Firstly thanks for all the emails from people pushing me to continue the rewrite. By now you may have noticed thatthe load times of pages is improving. Many have also noticed that broken links have almost vanished. Actually finding and fixing all the old and corrupt links has been a major task and one that I will be glad to see the end of. A lot of the effort has been spent on fixing and improvong the meta code on every page a task that has taken serious amounts of time. This hopeflly will allow my google rating and other search engine spider to better catagorise the site. Way back in 1999 when the site was first setu this meta info was not properly thought out and as such my placement has suffered. This now should also be cured. Posts: 56 20 February, 2008 00:09:38	Hi guys, Just to say that the website has now had some major amendments and new contant added . The rewrite is almost complete and with it there is new graphics, a facelift for the libraries and roms sections, new content in the library include more remakes of old games, the ability to download the featured Atari Brand Book and an overhaul of the Commodore 64 Roms and Commodore 64 Demo sections. There are also more images of the Activision Arm Patches and facelifts for remaing areas. Its been hard work so check it out now. HotTrout Webmaster www.TheOldComputer.com

HotTrout	Website rewrite is now complete	#4	[url]	[-]
Posts: 56 7 March, 2008 17:03:24	Its been a long month for work, but eventually the site rewrite is complete. A lot has changed in the background including, tags, images, cosmetic layout, the adition of paying adverters (but still NO POP'UPS or other crap). The site should be loading faster and serving roms faster than before. I have had to make these changes in light of the huge increase in daily traffic. Thanks to everyone for their patience.
